Accessibility Statement
The teaching team takes web accessibility issues seriously.
Our students are encouraged to implement the recommendations of the WAI [Web Accessibility Initiative] with an increasingly level of skill as the course progresses. Whilst not being absolutely unique in this respect, we believe we are one of the few higher education courses in the country to do this.
We claim Level A Conformance for this website. That's not because we're bad at what we do! It's because we adhere to the WAI's recommendation that many checkpoints require manual evaluation by experienced professionals. We are not satisfied with Level A Conformance however, and are working towards Double-A Conformance.
Be suspicious of websites that have high conformance levels. Their claims are often exaggerated because they use automated software checks that can produce inaccurate results. Sometimes the website developers simply lie.
Please be mindful that this site contains links to external student websites, and that the students in question are still learning their skills. Therefore, support for all the accessibility guidelines may not yet be complete.
Further information will be added to this page in due course.
